MoP Tol’Viron and Tiger’s Peak available for WOTLK servers

The Tol’Viron and Tiger’s Peak maps were introduced with Mists of Pandaria and now they are available also in Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5a) as plug-n-play modules for AzerothCore.

Tol’Viron Arena is located in Uldum, it is the sixth arena map. Similarly to Nagrand Arena, it is a heavily modified version of an existing map, the Ruins of Ammon.
The arena map’s design is based on the simplistic Nagrand Arena. The only difference between the two arenas is the art style and the direction of the pillars.

Tiger’s Peak is an arena map located in the Shado-Pan Monastery atop Kun-Lai Summit, it is the seventh arena map.

How does the battleground work?

Battle for Gilneas is a 10 vs 10 resource race battleground set in the Ruins of Gilneas, for players level 85 and above.

Much like Arathi Basin, the players must control strategic capture points on the map to accumulate resources. The first team to gather 2000 resources wins.

There are three bases in Battle for Gilneas:

  • Mine
  • Lighthouse
  • Waterworks

Compared to Arathi Basin this battleground has fewer bases, it is smaller but there is more distance between the bases and the players need to get more points to end the battleground.

In order to the lore, the battleground represents an important part of the Alliance-Horde war, the invasion of Gilneas.
This is a battle between the forsaken and the worgen for control of Gilneas.
